StatSheet is projecting UIC to get to the CIT. The Flames are #100 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 13-8 overall record and a 4-4 record in the Horizon.

During the last four games, UIC held its own with wins against Wright State, Milwaukee, and Loyola (Chicago) but also stumbled with a bad loss to RPI #103 Detroit.

UIC has little experience against top competition, with a 2-2 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 1-1 record against the RPI Top 50 but an 0-1 record against AP ranked teams. While the Flames have a single quality win against RPI #16 Colorado State, they're also weighed down by six bad losses including RPI #103 Detroit, RPI #168 Green Bay, RPI #203 Cleveland State, RPI #201 Toledo, and RPI #223 Miami (OH).

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Maryland (15-5, 3-4 ACC, StatRank #64), La Salle (14-5, 4-2 A-10, StatRank #28), St. John's (12-7, 4-3 Big East, StatRank #61), and Rutgers (12-6, 3-4 Big East, StatRank #57).

The first four teams out are Alabama (12-7, 4-2 SEC, StatRank #68), Brigham Young (16-6, 6-2 West Coast, StatRank #48), Iowa (13-6, 2-4 Big Ten, StatRank #69), and Memphis (16-3, 5-0 C-USA, StatRank #44).

The next four out are Bucknell (17-4, 4-1 Patriot, StatRank #46), Florida State (11-7, 3-2 ACC, StatRank #72), Kentucky (13-6, 4-2 SEC, StatRank #65), and Charlotte (16-4, 4-2 A-10, StatRank #50).
