UIC Gets Win Over Loyola (Chicago), 58-51

On January 14th in Chicago the Flames beat the Ramblers, 58-51, in conference play.

A couple items of note about these two teams: Last season, UIC was 0-2 against Loyola (Chicago). Going back four years, the Flames are 6-4 against the Ramblers including 3-2 at UIC Pavilion. UIC has a winning record over Loyola (Chicago) going back to 1980, 30-17.

UIC got the victory while overwhelming Loyola (Chicago) in offensive rebounding and three pointers.

UIC used its advantage on the boards to generate more second-chance shots with a total of 11 offensive rebounds to their seven. UIC sealed it with 24 points from three-point range compared to six from Loyola (Chicago).
